The sudden departure of Vicente from his body has sent shockwaves throughout communities around the world.

In his short 16 years on Earth, with his fearless nature, playful spirit, and endless energy, Vicente left sparks of light wherever he went — from Mexico, Mauritius, South Africa, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Costa Rica, Canada, and the United States. Along the way, Vicente formed friendships with people from more than 33 countries.

His light reached far beyond any one place, and now, in the midst of this loss, may that same light continue to support us all. Let’s help one another through this journey of healing.

In the wake of Vicente’s departure from his body, I have one wish: that my happy and beautiful boy may help every one of us become better people, come closer to love, come closer to God.
